This weekend was Conference Weekend. Our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints aka Mormons) does a worldwide broadcast twice a year, so we get to stay home and watch it via the internet or Dish Network. We have Dish Network, but it wasn’t working (the repair man comes tomorrow) so we watched it online. There are five two hour sessions; two on Saturday, one on Saturday evening that is just for men and they have to go to a church building to watch it, and two on Sunday. We get to hear from our beloved prophet, apostles, and church leaders.
When I was a kid, there was no internet or Dish Network, so if we wanted to see any of the sessions we had to dress up and go to the church building. It is so nice to be able to watch conference from the comfort of my home.
Nick brought his kids over on Saturday evening, so he and Sam could go to Priesthood session of conference. I watched all six kids because Alycia is having a girls’ weekend with her college roommates and is spending three nights away. Getting everyone ready for bed was a little crazy, but I got Dora Saves the Snow Princess and it was a dollar will spent.
The kids didn’t watch too much, but we did have them come listen to the prophet speak. They mostly played in the sand, (Sam took the picture from the upstairs window. I can’t believe Jinx is in there!) played chess (That is toilet paper all over the toyroom floor. I really have no explanation for that.) and piled up on Nick.
In between the session today we went for a walk. The weather is Texas this time of year is fabulous!

looks like the perfect way to spend a conference day to me! your play room is awesome!
You are so brave to watch all 6 by yourself!!! That was so nice of you!!! Dave watched our 2 and my sisters 17 month old so we could go to the womens conference. And Brody, my sisters son, cried the whole time which made our boys cry too. He doesn't want to try that again.
I love all the kids sleeping around him!!
