Family Home Evening

We taught our kids about the creation for family home evening. As I was drawing Adam I asked, "Do you know who he is?" Gavin said, "A zoo keeper!"

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Traveling with three small children by myself was not my brightest idea. It was actually quite miserable. I told my mother in law that it would be a long time until we could visit again because I would have to forget what traveling with my children was like. Gavin and Rene'e were able to go into the cockpit and they thought all those buttons were pretty cool.

The Oregon Coast

After the wedding reception was over, it was all play for the rest of our trip to Oregon. We visited the coast at a seaside town called Lincoln City. The kids loved walking on the beach, playing in the sand, and watching the waves. As you can tell by our clothing, it was too cold to swim. Carter spent most of the time we were at the beach in the van with Grandma Debbie and Grandma Lil. It was way to windy for him.

We ate lunch at Mo's and had their famous clam chowder. We did some shopping at the outlets and took a tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory on our way home. Gavin liked the cheese so much that we went through the cheese tasting line twice. It was a fun day and we didn't
get home until after 10pm. Everyone slept well that night.

Sam's Siblings

Here are Sam's younger siblings:
Joe (15)
Sam
John (22)
Maren (13)
Scott (19)
Sam also has an older brother Christian, but he wasn't able to make it to the reception.

Party Party Party!

There was a great DJ at the reception so we all had a great time dancing.
Grandma Debbie with Carter.
This was the cake I made for John and Debra. It was red velvet.

This was Gavin and Rene'e's favorite way to dance with Uncle Joe.
Rene'e got to dance with her daddy.
Sam and I had a great time dancing after we took the kids back to the Sheppard's house to go to bed and be watched by a babysitter.

Here we are in Oregon

We are visiting Oregon for John and Debra's wedding. Here are a few highlights:

Gavin and his Aunt Maren in the pool. It is too cold for the rest of us to swim. We are used to swimming in 85 degrees or above. Texans don't swim when it is in the 70s.
Scott celebrated his 19th birthday while we were here. I made him a cake.
Aunt Maren loves to hold baby Carter.
Grandpa Charlie took the kids to feed the squirrls at the park. You would have thought they were at Disney.

Brothers

I love have my little boys wear matching clothing. They are just so cute. Now all I need is another girl so she and Rene'e can match.

We are off to Oregon on Tuesday for Sam's brother's wedding. I will post when I get back.

Friday Night at the Pond

We spent our Friday night fishing at the pond. I even caught a fish. Gavin and Rene'e fed the one duck that is there. Carter hung out in the stroller and Jinx barked at everyone that passed by.

At the Pool with Cousins

Alycia and her kids visited from Wednesday to Friday this week. Gavin and Rene'e love spending time with their cousins. Here are some highlights from the pool.

Eight months

It is hard to believe that my baby is already eight months old. He is about to crawl any day now. He gets up on his knees and rocks back and for. He is sitting up and "talking" all the time. We have taken him in the pool, but because I have to be in the pool with him, there aren't any pictures yet. I will get around to it.

Sunday Photo Shoot

I try to take pictures of the kids on Sunday because they always look so cute. Today they were not in a picture taking mood so we had to play a game were they took turns running up the sidewalk and into this spot for a picture. Gavin made up the game, so this is what I got.

I ran in the Race for the Cure on Saturday. It was a 5K and I ran it in 27 min and 54 sec. I went with a group from my ward and had a lot of fun.
