The Pool is Open!

The pool is finally open again.  The water is way too cold for me, but my kids still enjoyed it.

Renée fell off her bike on the way home from school and skinned her chin.

Royal Wedding Luncheon

I hosted a royal wedding luncheon to watch William and Kate wed.  We didn't get up in the wee hours of the morning, we watched it at a much more reasonable hour thanks to my DVR.  I meant to take photos of my friends, but I was too busy watching the wedding.

Carter documented my preparations.

I served ginger tea but I don't have a tea pot.

Biking to School

Gavin has been riding his bike to school for a couple of weeks and Renée wanted to join him.  This is the protective outfit that she picked out.

Preschool Earth Day

My preschool teaching days are coming to a close.  Carter will be attending Building Blocks next year, so I won't be in a teaching co-op.  Here are a few shots from our Earth Day celebration.  I can't remember how I missed getting a photo of Liam.

Dog Bed

This is Jinx's favorite sleeping place.  It is right under my side of the bed.

Easter in Austin

We spent Eater weekend with Sam's brother and his family in Austin.  On Saturday we visited the capitol building and took a miniature train ride.  The kids had a great time with their cousins.  Saturday evening we made Easter cookies and read scriptures that told the Easter story.  Tera and I also stuffed tons of eggs.  I really love the egg hunt, so I always go a little over board.  On Sunday Sam and I woke up to squeals of delight (we were sleeping in the living room).  The kids ate candy for breakfast, but latter on Tera made us yummy scones.  We went to church and had our egg hunt after we got home.  It was so fun to spend Easter with Sam's side of the family this year.  Thanks for having us.

Sweet Baby Cocoa.  She is the happiest baby and a joy to be around.

The kids love spending time with their cousin Bennett, who is so nice to play with them.

Rapunzel was Renée's Easter surprise.

Carter got a bubble gun.

We made Easter cookies and this was our tomb.

I don't think Carter will have a problem eating this carrot.

I think she is a beauty.

Renée wanted to this picture.

The hunt is on!

Cooper caught on pretty quick to the madness.

Gavin still enjoys the hunt.

Earth Day Tree

One of our trees died in the front yard.  We have to have two because of our HOA.  Nick told us to get a cedar elm so the boys and I worked on digging the hole.  Our dirt is terrible.  It was about 30 percent boulders.  It was exhausting but we got the job done.  It was an excellent way to celebrate Earth Day.

My helper boys

Arron and Gavin got a little too into the digging.

Here comes the tree!

Can you believe Sam got it home like that.
