Work Work Work

Sam is really busy with work and school again. In addition to working weekends, they have been asking him to work some 2nd shifts and swing shifts. It hasn’t been great for his sleep schedule. We did have a really nice morning together on Friday because he was working a 2nd. We drove out to The Dump to check out their dining room tables. We didn’t find one that we liked, so we went back to Rachel’s and ordered the one I liked there. I am so excited to have a dining room table again and it should be here on Tuesday!
Gavin only had a half day of school so after we picked him up we went all went out to lunch at Babe’s. We love their fried chicken. Sam had to go into work after lunch, but I took the kids to the discount theater to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It was a cute movie and everyone enjoyed it. It is nice that my kids are all able to sit through a movie now.
I am getting into the grove of single parenting. I am trying to still do fun things with the kids. I took them to Home Depot yesterday for their children’s workshop. They made shelves for their matchbox cars. Carter was in his little tool glory.
Sam also found out that the government is going to be ordering additional test planes, so we will not have to move this summer! It is a huge relief to us since he won’t be done with school until December of 2011.
