Trick or Treat

We had a blast trick or treating. Gavin was a ninja. Renée was a cheerleader. Carter was a very unhappy dinosaur. By the end of the night he accepted his costume, but refused to walk while trick or treating. I had to roll him up to each door in his stroller. Our community had a hay ride and we took a break from the trick or treating to go on it. The kids got so much candy. Carter just keep taking a bite out of each thing and he was giddy for peanut butter cups. I guess he takes after me.

Pumpkin Decorating

I got the kids the Mr. Potato Head like decorations for their pumpkins this year. Renée and Carter got their pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, but I ended up getting Gavin a pumpkin pie pumpkin because I couldn't find anything else. I guess I should buy our pumpkins earlier next year. The pumpkin we carved was left on our door step!

Sea World on My Own

Gavin had a half day of school on Friday, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to miss it. After school on Thursday we drove to San Antonio. We staying in a hotel for one night, and then spent all day at Sea World on Friday. We actually were there for 12 hours! 9:30am to 9:30pm. Sam had to work, so I was flying solo, but I had heard that Sea World does fun things for Halloween and we didn't want to miss them. It really was fun and the Halloween Shamu show according to Gavin was, "AWESOME!" I drove home that night with the help of an energy drink. Carter screamed from 1am to 2am saying he wanted out of his carseat. I couldn't have fallen asleep if I tried.

Pumpkin Patch Take Two

Erika and I usually don't have husbands on Monday nights so we have been doing Family Home Evening together. On this particular Monday night we took our kids to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. Gavin didn't get to go on our first trip since he was in school, so I am glad he got to enjoy it again this year. It was a great day and the bounce houses were dry this time. My cute kids wouldn't look at the camera for a group shot.

Gavin's Math Test

Ward Campout

Sam had to study, so I took the kids on the ward campout by myself. The kids loved it! I was cold and uncomfortable. It is amazing what we will do to make our children happy.

Sometimes She Plays

Renée does really well at her soccer games, sometimes. Other times she just stands there or plays in the net. You never know how she will be until we get there. We have tried bribery but if Renée doesn't want to do something, there is nothing we can do to make her.

Preschool Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Renée is in a co-op preschool where all the mom's take turns teaching. We took them on their first field trip to the pumpkin patch. It was cold and wet but the kids still seemed to have a great time. They loved the old fashioned merry go round and of course the hay ride.
