Thanksgiving

I started my Thanksgiving with a 10K Turkey Trot. Alycia, Nick, Glade (Nick’s dad), and Christine all ran in it. I ran it in 54:42 minutes with is a 8:48 minute mile. Sam and Marie (Nick’s mom) with all the kids were at the finish line cheering us on. After the race we had a nice dinner at Alycia’s house. Everything tasted wonderful. After dinner the boys played football and Alycia and I planned out our Black Friday shopping.

Sea World On My Own Again

I took the kids to Sea World by myself again. Gavin and Renée didn't have school so we drove down on Monday and got there around 1:30. We met up with the Thurmans and the Richardsons while we were there. We stayed at La Quinta and got to have Texas shaped waffles, which makes them taste better. Sea World doesn't officially open until 10am but Dolphin Cove opens at 9am. We like to go early and feed the dolphins. They are hungry and egger to interact with you in the morning. The kids all got to pet them and it was a highlight of the trip. Some of our other highlights were finding a tiny little lizard, which they fought over holding until I made them let it go. Gavin and Renée rode Rio Loco 4 times. There wasn't ever a line. This is why I love Sea World in November. The kids got to hold an alligator. Santa visited Sea World and they got to sit on his lap. We got to see the Polar Express in a 4D theater. It was the 18 minute version, which I personally like better than the full feature. It really was a great trip. Sam had to work and go to school but we missed him. On Tuesday night we stayed in Austin with Christian (Sam's brother) and his wife Tera. The kids had a sleep over with their cousins and it was fun to see them again. Thanks for having us!

Scott & Paige's Wedding in Portland

Sam and I spent three days in Oregon so we could attend Scott (Sam's brother) and Paige's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and the reception was a lot of fun. It was also nice to see Sam's relatives again; his sibblings Scott, Joe, and Maren, parents Deb and Charlie, Grandma Lil, Aunt Cathie and Uncle Jerry, and his cousin, Tiffany and her family. We all had a great time dancing at the reception. Joe and Maren are on a dance team so they were showing us how it is done. Alycia watched our kids who didn't miss us at all.

Carter and I went to the train station for a photo shoot. I got a few shots of him while we were there.

Renée's Soccer Party

Renée made it through another season of soccer. We had a party at a pizza place and the coach handed out their trophies. Renée has decided that she doesn’t want to play soccer anymore, so she will be taking a lease a break from the sport. Sometimes she would play, other times she would just stand out there. I never knew how she was going to be. She always said she was having fun and she even scored a goal.
