Gavin is playing soccer for the first time. He missed the first two games because we were on vacation, so Monday night was his first game. It was so funny to watch. They play four on four with no goalie and no real clue what they are doing. Gavin paid attention during the game, this set him apart because some kids were swinging from the goals. He also ran and kicked the ball a couple of times. After he did this once I smiled and gave him a thumbs up. After that, every time he looked at me he smiled and gave me a thumbs up (sorry about the blurry picture.) The funniest thing that happened during the game is the ref, who was no more than twelve, was talking to one of Gavin's teammates. The kids grabbed the refs whistle and blew it. The poor little ref was discussed and all us parents were dieing laughing.

South Padre Island Sept. 8th-16th
We had such a wonderful time on our vacation to South Padre Island, TX. It is about 9 hours from where we live but it was worth the drive. The beach was practically emply, because everyone's kids are in school. The ocean was nice and calm, which was great for our little kids. We spent our days playing on the beach and swimming in the ocean, it was 82 degrees! We rented a two bedroom condo, which was half price because it is the off season. It was much nicer than staying in a hotel because Sam and I could actually do things after the kids went to bed. In addition to playing on the beach we took a dophin tour, a boat ride where they take you out in the bay to see the dophins. There were a ton of dophins. We learned that they don't have any preditors in the golf. Gavin even got to drive the boat. There were about 12 of us on the tour that usually holds 100. You have to love vacationing during the off season. We also went to Sea Turtles Inc. It is a rescue center for sea turtles, so they have a lot of tanks of turtles. That was also interesting to see.

Under Contract Again
While were were vacationing on South Padre Island, TX (I will post pictures soon), our house went under contract. Our closing date is set for Dec. 11th. They have a contingency on the sale of their home, but their relocation company will buy their house if it doesn't sell. That is why our closing date is so far away. If their house sells sooner, then we will close sooner. We also can continue to accept other offers. So here is for hoping all will work out.

National Symphony
I went and visited my friend Jennifer in Maryland before I headed home to Texas. I went to church at my old ward and then I went to D.C. to see the National Symphony play on the West lawn of the capital building. Jennifer's husband, Dave, was nice enough to watch Gavin and Rene'e for me. Carter got to come and see the show. It had a wonderful time. We didn't get back until 1am, so driving to Alabama the next day was a little rough.
Eleven Months
My sweet baby Carter is already eleven months. I took him in to be weighed today and he is now 15lbs. 10.5oz. Carter has gotten quite good at crawling around and pulling himself up next to the furniture. He likes to gargle his milk. (I have never had a child do that) Carter has the cutest giggle and the strangest things make him laugh. Today our dog sneazed and Carter just laughed and laughed. These pictures were taken in my parents driveway, just before we left.

Dorney Park
The day before we left PA, Dad, Gavin, Rene'e, and I went to an amusement park. The kids went on all kinds of kiddy rides. Rene'e was fearless and wanted to go on everything. I had to ride a little roller coaster with each of them and by the time I got off after the second ride, I was quite sick. Before we left, I went on their biggest baddest roller coaster. It was the kind where your feet dangle. It has been about six years since I have been on any rides. I used to only get sick on rides that spin. I was dissapointed to find out that I now get sick on anything.
