Tiny Little Motorcycles

While Sam was combing Gavin’s hair he said, “The front of my hair reminds me of a bunch of little ramps that tiny little germs can jump off of, on tiny little motorcycles.”

Look Who is Swimming at 2!

Carter is by far our youngest swimmer. We get all kinds of comments about his swimming since he looks like he is 18 months old.

Spray Ground

We went to the spray ground again with a group of friends. It was so hot that even I had to run through the spray.

Window View

I saw this view from Renée’s window one evening. We are loving living so close to Fort Worth.

National Night Out

Our community, Crawford Farms, celebrated National Night Out with a safety fair. Renée’s favorite part was meeting the Fort Worth police horses. There were two bounce houses which all the kids enjoyed. A fire truck came and the kids got to sit in the front seat. They also got to go in an ambulance and turn on the siren. The highlight of the evening was watching the Care Flight helicopter land in our common area.

Faux Hawks

Gavin really wanted a Mohawk so I styled his hair into a faux hawk. By the end of the day he washed his hair out saying that is was too spiky. Of course I had to do Carter too, but his didn’t last long because he couldn’t stop jumping around long enough for the gel to dry.

Homemade Soft Pretzels

The weather wasn’t good this morning, so we didn’t go the pool. Everyone was bored, so we made soft pretzels. The kids love to do this because they get to roll the dough into long snakes. They also get to put the salt on the pretzels. Gavin said these were the best pretzels he ever had and was surprised that I was a good a pretzel maker.

This is the recipe.

Four Times the Sparks

We took the Sparks with us to NRH2O. Gavin and Ethan were in the same kindergarten class and are in the sane church class. They are inseparable and were so excited that we got together with the Sparks four times that week. Jeremiah asked me if we were using them to replace my sister’s family since they are out of town. We had a little rain but it was a really fun day.

Spray ground with the Sparks

The Sparks invited us go to the spray ground with them. It was an overcast day so we were the only people there. Natalie Thompson was also there and it was fun to chat while the kids played. I loved these pictures, so I am posting a lot of them. Enjoy!
