My mothers day was a nice one. The kids wouldn't smile for the picture, but they were nice to me. Gavin even made me an imaginary cake. Wasn't that sweet of him? I had to keep handing him all the imaginary ingredient though. I think Santa needs to bring him an easy bake oven.
Rene'e sure loves makeup. If she is quiet for a while I know where to find her. She always uses lip gloss, lip stick, and mascara around her eyes. The funny thing is that she is so pretty that she can pull off the look:)
We never know where or how Rene'e is going to be asleep. She takes off her PJs and the only reason she keeps on her diaper is because we use packaging tape.
I got this dress for Rene'e in Mexico. She looked so cute in it but half way through sacrament meeting it started ripping apart. By the time she was done with nursery this was how she looked. Moral of the story, don't by clothing in Mexico!
I really have no idea why my kids pull their blankets off their beds and lay down in the living room. It is almost impossible to get them to nap in their rooms. This was Sunday morning thanks to 1pm church. I am having trouble keeping clothes on Rene'e. Sam potty trained her and now she really likes to be naked. I guess I have to work on that.
This morning I completed my first race, The White Rock and Roll Five Mile. My time was 46 minutes and 50 seconds. It was a great experience and I would definitively do it again. My friends, left to right, Tammie Slay, Tami Johnson, and Julie Herlin. I just found out I was ranked 24 out of 90 for my age group and 333 out of 828 overall.
We have been having some rain here in sunny Texas and Rene'e asked to play outside in it. She had a great time dancing around. She did become completely naked. I am glad our yard is fenced.
Here is an update on our baby birds. We ended up having five eggs in our nest. I didn't know that birds didn't have all their eggs in one day. She laid one a day for five days. They hatched while we were in Arizona, so we came home to a MESS on the door. I took this picture and the next day the birds were gone. It didn't take them long to grow up and fly away. I scrubbed off the door and fixed the wreath so our entry is back to normal.
We took a family trip to Tucson from April 7th to the 15th curtsy of Sam's work. He had to do some tests and I took the opportunity to stay with my college roommate, Joi. While we were there we visited Mexico where we bought a lot of vanilla and toys for the kids. We took two double strollers and didn't let the kids out at all. I didn't want to lose my little blond kids. Joi's daughter Ava turned one while were visiting so we went to the zoo to celebrate. My kids really enjoyed themselves. Jill, another roommate from college who lives in Phoenix, came down to visit while we were there. It was fun for the three of us to be together again. Too bad Jasmine wasn't there. Carter got his first tooth. Gavin dropped a brick on his toe the first day we were there and his toenail fell off. Rene'e was her usual snarlly self. Sam's flight test went well. I got to scrapbook with Joi and we even got out to get pedicures. We also got to visit Sue Shumway who I was friends with in MD, who now lives in Tucson. Even though the drive to AZ was a long one, it was worth it. It was a wonderful little vacation.
We spent Easter in Tucson, AZ this year. Sam had to do a test flight so we all decided to go so we could visit my college roommate, Joi. Luckily the Easter Bunny still found us. Here is Gavin with his chocolate bunny, which he ate for breakfast.
Gavin and Rene'e were thrilled with their Easter buckets.Rene'e sure loves to eat chocolate.Carter didn't get his own bucket this year but he stole the plastic bunny out of Ava's, Joi's daughter."Look at all these baskets!"Our family on Easter.

I have taken all of my kids pictures as babies in bunny ears. I just think it is the cutes thing and Carter was no exception.
My sisters, Jenne' and Kendra were in the school production of Les Miserable. Alyica and I flew to PA, with our babies, to see them. Jenne' and Kendra were wonderful! It was so fun to get away and enjoy some time with my family. We missed Brielle though.
