New Tubes

Carter had his old ear tubes taken out and new ear tubes put in. The surgery went well and he wasn’t too terrible when he came out of the anesthesia. He doctor said there was a lot of fluid in his ears so he will be able to hear a lot better. I am hoping that it will help his behavior.

Stock Yards

We took the Sheppard’s to see the cows herded down the street. They don’t see that in Oregon either. There are also little western shops to explore.

Jo T. Garcia's

Jo T. Garcia’s is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in town. The ambiance is really nice and the cheese enchiladas are to die for!

Fishing

There is a stocked pond in our neighborhood so we all went fishing, including Gavin’s friend Paige. Both Sam and Renée caught catfish.

Soccer

Debbie and Charlie got to see both the Gavin and Renée play soccer. It was kind of windy so Charlie got to help hold down the goal.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing

There are two places in our country where money is printed, Washington D.C. and Fort Worth, TX. We weren’t allowed to bring cameras for security reasons, so this is the photo I pulled off their website. It was really interesting and the kids did pretty well.

Water Gardens

We liked the Watergardens so much when we went with my grandma that we took Sam’s parents. The kids sure love running around and playing in the fountains.

Mmmm Babe's

No one can visit us without experiencing Babe’s fried chicken. Charlie liked it so much that he bought a hat. It really is the best southern home cooked food. The kids like dancing the hokey pokey and the boot strap boogie with the waitresses.

The Swimming Begins

The pool is open and we are ready to play. The water is way too cold, but me kids and Charlie went in anyway. Gavin had a great time swimming with his Grandpa. Renée thought my lap was the best place to warm up.
